SciCo is an experimental method for teaching Science Concepts. The method is not exclusive to science and has been used to develop mathematics concepts and could be used to enhance the learning of other subjects, even foreign languages.

The method has developed over many years to encourage the active participation of students in their own education. SciCo tries to turn the passive memorization of factoids into the integrated assembly of concepts. A shortened name for Science Assembly was a nonstarter so the name SciCo was chosen as a shorthand for any of:

     •     Science Construction

     •     Science Connections

     •     Science Collection

     •     Science Corporation
